The Church of Revolution Community Health Ministry is launching a FREE Community CPR Training Initiative with the goal is to train and certify every organizer that is willing in the City of Philadelphia in Heartsaver, CPR, and AED. It is our mission to create a health and safety network of community-centered educators and healers. This program will strengthen local emergency response capacity and help save lives.

Our lead trainer, Erica Adams, MSN, RN, is a master-prepared Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of nursing experience and over 12 years of experience as a BLS/CPR instructor. Erica Adams has certified hundreds of both medical and non-medical personnel in critical emergency response skills. 

To initiate this program, we and other community organizations are offering our first two training sessions in partnership with Mumia Abu-Jamal on April 25th and April 26th (see attached graphic for specifics). Our FREE training program will include:

♥️ CPR/Heartsaver: Designed for lay rescuers, covering adult, child, and infant CPR/AED and choking  

♥️ Stop The Bleed/First Aid: A national campaign (often included in or aligned with AHA First Aid) that teaches how to control life-threatening bleeding before professional help arrives

♥️ Narcan/Overdose Survival: Training on recognizing opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies and administering Naloxone (Narcan) to reverse an overdose
